A Screen In A Room

This is my 2025 award-winning short film made with the help of my 6 year old Son.

About

Occurring at an unknown point in the last 20 years and seen entirely through one monitor, 'A Screen In A Room' is an experimental psychological horror made by Animator/Director Sean Sears with the help of his six year old son. Through isolated silence, the film intimately follows a character named John, who seeks solace in the familiar but finds himself unravelling. The film has been featured at independent genre showcases, including the Black Sunday Film Festival and the Yeh! Nah! Horror Film Festival (and more). You can read up on the director's creative process and inspirations in the official Love Horror Interview.

Designed in Illustrator, animated in After Effects.

Laika

Protecting Africa's Sawfishes

Idents I made for Red Nose Day.

About

Sawfish populations are in decline worldwide and sawfishes are the most endangered of all sharks and rays. The aim of this educational film is to explain to fishing communities in Mozambique how sawfishes and other sharks and rays help to keep ocean and river ecosystems balanced and healthy. Designed in Illustrator/Photoshop animated in After Effects.

Who Killed Nancy?

A feature film I worked on back in 2007/2008.

About

One of my earliest jobs outside of Triffic Films - I was still fairly new to the industry at this point and learned a fair bit. Not a short film, but a feature film. I did a few of the motion graphics bits. Illustrator/Photoshop animated in After Effects.

Illustrated by Me and Martin Sardar.
